Martin traded his MSc in Geology for a job in what was then the Evening Standard’s classified department in 2000 and has been with the company ever since.
Geology’s loss was Metro’s gain as he quickly rose through the sales ranks before becoming Executive Director of classified in 2006.
Martin’s highly successful team still operate as a sales house for Evening Standard and Mailonline as well as Metro and offer a variety of classified solutions including reader offers, direct display, production and digital.
In 2014, the classified department enjoyed their biggest ever year at a time when the rest of the market struggled.
A proud father of two young girls and a keen sportsman, Martin is currently training to compete in the London Marathon.
